Meet the Author
Hi! I’m Alana — a registered nurse and first-time author.
Born and raised in South Australia, you may have spotted me around local coffee shops, out on hiking trails, or exploring neighbourhood parks with my two dogs, Hank and Maggie.
Their antics, quirks and adventures inspired me to write my very first children’s book, and with the wonderful support of Little Steps Publishing, I’m thrilled to introduce Silly Hank!
Silly Hank! will be available in stores from 1 October 2026.

Swims? Yay! Friends? Yay! Snacks? Yay! His joy is infectious, and his happy butt wiggles are impressive. He would love to meet you!

A 5-year-old Irish Wolfhound, Maggie is an ocean of calm. She’s a gentle giant, content to take her time and smell the roses. She loves to grab a doggy biscuit, find a comfy spot, and watch the world go by. She would love a gentle greeting, and to snuffle you from head to toe!
